Game Development Since 1985:
"Bomulus and the Lost Crown"
|
|
|
Our developers have a long experience in game development and graphics.
Our earliest success stories date back as far as 1985. Our first game
sequel, the Bomulus Games was launched in 1985 with an action game
called "Bomulus and the Bedouins". This was followed with "Bomulus, the
Nuclear Spy", a combined fly-and-shoot-'em and platform jumping game.
The crown jewel of the sequel was "Bomulus and the Lost Crown", launched
in 1986 for MSX compatible home computers.
Surprisingly, present day handheld computer games have some similarities
with those early games. The screen size of current handhelds (in pixels,
that is) is very much comparable to the screen size of home computers
that used TV screens. We have already gone much further in computing
power, even in handheld computers, but the screen size similarity makes
a strong link in the look and feel of some of these games.
Below you can see some screenshots from "Bomulus and the Lost Crown",
our 1986 pseudo-3D adventure game!
Amazing what assembly language could do with those early home computers...
